Matsuda
Matsuda was founded in Tokyo in 1967 by Mitsuhiro Matsuda, who captured the world’s attention in the 1980s with his avant-garde union of fashion and architecture. Today the label remains anchored in the same traditions of craftsmanship, thoughtful execution and innovative technology to create experimental sunglasses and optical frames. Handcrafted in Japan, each design can take up to two years and 250 steps to complete, using fine materials such as titanium, stainless steel, sterling silver and 18kt gold to produce meticulous pieces of wearable art.
