Heritage techniques and family tradition are cornerstones for Irish knitwear label &Daughter, operated by daughter-father team Buffy and Columba Reid. Launching the brand involved a combination of their individual expertise – Buffy’s experience in fashion PR and Columba’s career selling Donegal tweed and Aran knits – along with a dose of inspiration from Buffy’s granny, who is fondly credited as an amazing, passionate knitter. Responsible sourcing and craftsmanship are paramount to the label, who proudly use 100% natural cashmere and wool yarns that are spun in the UK and Ireland, 90% of which are Responsible Wool Standard or RSPCA-approved. Look out for classic sweaters and cardigans, made using longer fibres to enhance longevity and assure years of treasured wear.
